Camden High Street

Camden High Street

Camden High Street is open of London’s best known streets, and attracts thousands of London tourists each day with its edgy, bohemian, arty atmosphere. While almost all UK high streets are filled with national chains, Camden High Street is better known for its eclectic range of independent stores, cool pubs, indie music venues and the famous Camden Market. It is one of the most popular London attractions with indie kids and those into edgy, alternative culture.

Camden High Street is the epicenter of Camden Town, London’s coolest area (a title it shares with Brick Lane in East London) and a haven for indie kids, poets and other arty types. At the top of Camden High Street is the buzzing Camden Lock. The high street contains a range of alternative clothing stores; cosmopolitan eateries; music venues, like the world-famous Camden Barfly; and just off Camden High Street is The Good Mixer pub, famous for being at the centre of the mid-1990s Britpop era of Blur, Oasis and Pulp.

Camden High Street is the centre of probably the edgiest, most eclectic, arty, bohemian and cosmopolitan area in the world. No London tourist has truly experienced the cultural breadth of the city without a visit.
