Abbey Road

Abbey Road

Abbey Road is the world’s most famous recording studio and one of the most popular London attractions with music lovers. The studio is famous as being the location for the majority of The Beatles’ recordings in the 1960s. The Beatles’ final album was named 'Abbey Road' and released in 1969, with the LP’s front cover featuring the Fab Four negotiating the zebra crossing outside the studio. This iconic image is re-enacted by scores of tourists each day.

It has become a major London tourism tradition for visitors to graffiti their words of love for The Beatles on the wall outside Abbey Road – this eccentric method of tribute to the Fab Four is welcomed by the Abbey Road staff – so don’t worry, you won’t land yourself in any trouble!

Abbey Road is included on the ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ and ‘In My Life’ Beatles walks that take place regularly in London. A visit to Abbey Road is a great idea for Beatles-loving tourists who are looking for free things to do in London.
